Trapet Gevrey Chambertin Ostrea 2022

A blend of four parcels near the Brochon border that are fossil-rich and planted back in 1919. Some VERY old vines here! The name refers to the oyster shells found in and around these parcels.

All grapes are hand harvested and sorted in the vineyard as well as in the winery where up to 10% of the crop may be rejected. Traditional vinification with native yeasts in open vat fermentation. They use about 10-20% stem inclusion. The wine is aged 10-15% new French barriques.
