Villargeau Blanc 2023

Known famously at the store as our "baby Sancerre" this 100% Sauvignon Blanc hails from the Côteaux du Giennois, a small bordering appellation to Pouilly-Fume, sharing limestone-clay rich soils and producing mineral driven wines that compliments the palatte just as well as Sancerre, but at half the price. 

Domaine du Villargeau is run by two brother who are committed to natural farming methods and are members of Terra Vitis, a group who eschews the use of chemical agents in favor of biological methods. Villargeau vinifies all parcels separately in stainless steel tanks and, in general, uses only wild yeast fermentations.

The resulting wine is aromatic, vibrant and succulent. Expect lemon zest, notes of flint, savory minerality, and a bright, crisp, finish.
